2016-18: Climate Justice

The Climate Justice National Campaign was chosen by the National Conference in January Its aim was to increase responsible consumption and renewable energy practices within individuals and groups for the common good of the global human community and the earth we all call home.

Our faith calls us to take action on this issue as stewards of creation; we believe it is our duty to strive toward justice for all life on Earth.

The Australian Young Christian Students decided on three asks to be used for advocating on behalf of young people to consumers, governments, businesses and organisations.

  1. All people will consume less of products and services negatively impacting the environment, and consume in a sustainable manner.
  2. Switch from unsustainable to renewable energy practices and resources.
  3. For all victims of climate injustice, namely the people experiencing poverty, those experiencing displacement, and the damaged environment.
